Using alternative provision and Ofsted questioning.

I’ve been working recently with schools to help tighten their practice around the use of external provisions. We’ve worked to tighten processes and practice but also to make sure their use of external provision is up to external scrutiny.

This document has been helpful, it breaks down how the Ofsted framework relates to a schools use of external provision and gives a structure to check yourself against those expectations.

It helps you and your team think about the evidence you have, the strengths you want to communicate and the ‘red flags’ you need to work on.
