Education consultancy - supporting you to support struggling young people.
We support schools, alternative provisions and charities to help struggling young people succeed in education.
Can we help you deliver impact for disadvantaged or struggling young people?
We believe education has the power to change lives. We believe that everyone has the right to access that education but that some young people and their families need a little extra support.
We offer a consultancy and support service targeted around those young people who struggle in mainstream education. Our service is driven by a desire to help improve outcomes for those who face the biggest obstacles to success. We want to help you ‘Close the Gaps’.
We help organisations across a range of areas that fit our mission but we have two particular areas of specialism:
1) Making alternative provision as effective and inclusive as possible
We work with alternative provisions, registered and unregistered, from start-ups through to established AP schools. Our aim is to bring support to make sure that they offer the best alternative to mainstream education they can. We support AP’s to meet Ofsted and DfE standards, to gain LA approval and to achieve ambitious outcomes for the young people they work with.
2) Helping schools understand and respond to poverty amongst pupils and their families
We work to support schools to make the most of their pupil premium strategies. We have a particular strength in helping schools respond to the issues around poverty and the barriers disadvantaged pupils face. This includes behaviour support, inclusion, attendance and support for families and communities.
If you are trying to ‘Close the Gaps’ for pupil premium pupils - we can help.
If you want to develop a strategy for addressing the poverty in your cohort - we can help.
If you are trying to ‘Close the Gaps’ for pupils at danger of exclusion - we can help.
If you are trying to ‘Close the Gaps’ for pupils struggling on the fringes of mainstream - we can help.
If you are trying to ‘Close the Gaps’ for pupils with safeguarding vulnerabilities - we can help.
